Our department focuses on individual differences in human experience and behavior. In addition to traditional psychometric test procedures, we use experimental and psychophysiological methods as well as modern digital assessment and analysis tools (machine learning, learning analytics, large language models, smartphone sensing). Current research interests lie in the relationship between information processing and intelligence, the impact of emotional competencies on well-being and social interactions, method effects in psychometric tests, and the investigation of personality traits in the context of interpersonal relationships.
